The Applications
07/1908
MBC Planning rejected the first application (07/1908) and heeded the strong objection from residents.

This was to demolish the exiting property and build 4 large 4/5 bedroom houses on the site adjacent to the conservation area and the Sites of Nature Conservation Importance (SNCI)

The 89 objections, including the Campaign to Protect Rural England, sent a clear message. Antler Homes has gone straight to appeal to HM Inspectorate resulting in a Public Enquiry that is currently scheduled for May 20 2008.

The second Planning Application (Number 08/0370), made by RE Planning on behalf of Antler Homes to demolish the existing bungalow, Westmount, Busbridge Road, Loose, and erect four large houses with associated parking and garaging was also rejected by Maidstone Borough Council on the basis of inappropriate design and impact on the conservation area.
